Community Growth & Retention

Challenge. Communities were either stalling out or growing so fast that quality, safety and retention collapsed under the weight.

Role. Community strategy and growth lead across Discord, X/Twitter, Reddit, Telegram and TikTok.

Strategy. Built full growth systems: audience targeting, cross-platform funnels, referral loops, activation quests, retention cohorts and community rituals designed to make members stay, not just show up.

Moderator Management & Governance

Challenge. Volunteer and contract moderators were burning out, response times slipped, and there was no consistent enforcement of community guidelines.

Role. Head of moderator programs and community governance.

Strategy. Designed end-to-end moderator systems: recruitment funnels, structured onboarding, training curriculums, tiered roles, performance reviews, escalation trees, coverage planning across time zones and a living moderation playbook.

Platforms & tools. Discord, Reddit modmail/AutoModerator, custom dashboards, ticketing.

  • Cut first-response times to under 15 minutes across peak windows
  • Standardized enforcement, reducing repeat incidents and appeals

Onboarding & Member Activation

Challenge. New members were joining and disappearing within days, especially in SaaS and crypto communities with steep learning curves.

Role. Owner of onboarding programs and activation campaigns.

Strategy. Built gamified onboarding: welcome journeys, education campaigns, quests, contests, wallet or account verification, role progression and reward systems tied to real product milestones.

Platforms & tools. Discord bots, Zealy-style quest platforms, wallet verification, custom flows.

Influencer, Creator & Ambassador Programs

Challenge. Paid influencer spend was inconsistent and rarely produced durable community lift or measurable business impact.

Role. Program lead for influencer, creator, ambassador and UGC partnerships.

Strategy. Designed vetted ambassador and creator programs: tiered rewards, referral tracking, UGC prompts, advocacy loops and long-term partnerships instead of one-off drops. Aligned briefs with community narrative and product moments.

Reputation & Sentiment Management

Challenge. Brands were reacting to sentiment shifts and crises after they had already damaged trust, with no early warning system.

Role. Reputation management, brand defense and crisis response lead.

Strategy. Stood up listening stacks, sentiment dashboards, escalation frameworks and executive comms playbooks. Trained cross-functional teams on tone, escalation and public response so incidents were handled in hours, not days.

Bots, Automation & Community Operations

Challenge. Manual moderation, verification, and support couldn't keep up with community scale, and brand-safe experiences were breaking.

Role. Automation architect for community ops.

Strategy. Built and configured bots and tooling: wallet verification, role-gating, AutoModerator configurations, ticketing systems, escalation workflows, AI-assisted triage and internal ops dashboards. Integrated with helpdesk, CRM and product tools.

Strategy. Built launch programs around the community: pre-launch quests, moderator briefings, AMA activations, tiered reveals, ambassador amplification and post-launch retention loops tied to product milestones.

Role. Community and partnership lead for entertainment and IP activations.

Strategy. Onboarded and activated major partners including Warner Bros. and Sony properties: custom launch narratives, moderator and creator alignment, cross-platform activations and safeguards tuned to each IP's tone and audience.
